Department of Telecommunications undertakes Special Campaign 6 for Swachhata, efficient record management and better office administration

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, is undertaking Special Campaign 6 with a focused approach towards promoting cleanliness, improving office spaces, reducing pendency and strengthening record management across its offices and field formations.
The preparatory phase of the campaign (15.09.2026- 30.09.2026) is being carried out to identify the pending VIP references, public grievances, PG appeals which shall be resolved during the implementation phase of the campaign (2.10.2026 – 31.10.2026). During the campaign period, attention shall be given to cleanliness and upkeep of office premises, disposal of obsolete and redundant records, weeding out of files as per prescribed procedures, and resolution of pending references and grievances.
During the campaign special focus shall be on identifying the maximum number of e-waste and disposal of the same in conformity of the procedures prescribed under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
As part of the campaign, the Department of Telecommunications offices and its field units are identifying areas requiring focused attention and undertaking measures to improve the overall working environment. Emphasis is also being placed on systematic management of physical and electronic records, efficient utilization of office space and adoption of good practices for maintaining cleanliness on a sustained basis.
The campaign provides an opportunity for various formations of the Department to review existing processes, identify areas for improvement and institutionalise practices that contribute to a more efficient and responsive public administration.
The Department of Telecommunications remains committed to strengthening transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric service delivery through continuous improvement in its administrative processes.
