Shri Narayan Dewasi assumed charge today as a Member of the Governing Body of the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC).

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has appointed him for a tenure of three years from the date of joining or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

On assuming charge, Shri Dewasi expressed gratitude for the responsibility entrusted to him and reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and betterment of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic (DNT) Communities.

He said he would work towards fulfilling the objectives of the Board and contribute to addressing the needs and aspirations of DNT Communities.

DWBDNC is mandated to address the welfare and development concerns of DNT Communities and supports initiatives aimed at their socio-economic development and empowerment.

Shri Dewasi’s joining is expected to strengthen the Governing Body as it carries forward the Board’s mandate for the welfare and empowerment of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities.

Earlier, Shri Swaroop Singh Banjara assumed charge as Member of the Governing Body of DWBDNC on 17^th of this month.
