The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), has launched the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, a nationwide youth engagement initiative aimed at encouraging young citizens to share their ideas and perspectives towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Addressing a press conference in Goa today, Director, MY Bharat Goa, Shri G. S. Raghav, along with Assistant Director, Shri Samyek Meshram, urged the youth of Goa to participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz, the first stage of VBYLD 2027.

Further Shri Raghav said that, the online Viksit Bharat Quiz is open from August 17 to September 30, 2026 through the MY Bharat portal. Youth who qualify will progress through subsequent stages of the programme, providing them opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge, leadership skills, innovative thinking and ideas for the development of India.

The second stage, the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge, will be held from October 5 to 19, 2026. Shortlisted participants will submit a 500-word essay on the designated Viksit Bharat theme. The third stage, the District Championship, will be conducted from November 10 to 16, 2026, with the top 50 essays from each district shortlisted for an in-person presentation.

The fourth stage will involve presentation of selected ideas before a jury at the State/UT level, followed by the national round scheduled from November 17 to December 7, 2026.

The National VBYLD 2027 will be held in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027. Selected youth will get an opportunity to present their ideas, with regional finalists getting a chance to present before the Prime Minister.

Shri Raghav called upon young people across Goa to actively participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz through the official MY Bharat platform and become part of this nationwide initiative. They said the programme seeks to encourage youth to move beyond being beneficiaries of development and become active contributors and partners in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat.
