Madras Fertilizers Limited, Regional Office Hyderabad, organized a Kisan Sangoshthi cum PM PRANAM Awareness Programme today at M/s Veeramanikanta Fertilizer Pesticides, Chinthapalli Village, Miryalaguda Mandal, Nalgonda District.

The programme was organized by Shri S. KARUPPAIAH, Manager (Marketing), Telangana State.

More than 37 progressive farmers from Chinthapalli and surrounding villages participated in the programme. MFL Handouts, Main Banner and Vijay Standy were prominently displayed at the venue and handouts on balanced fertilization were distributed to all farmers.

Shri S. Karuppaiah briefed the farmers about the present dry spell situation in Miryalaguda area and explained in detail the objective of Hon'ble Prime Minister's PM PRANAM Scheme to save Mother Earth by reducing chemical fertilizer load. He also stressed the importance of organic manure, green manure, vermi compost and balanced use of fertilizers for sustainable soil health and better yield. Farmers were advised to avoid indiscriminate use of Urea and DAP.

Farmers actively participated in the interactive session and requested MFL to make Vijay 17-17-17 Complex Fertilizer available immediately in Miryalaguda market. They informed that due to non-availability of Vijay, SPIC 17-17-17 is being sold and they are willing to purchase only Vijay Complex if supplied in time.

Though there was a slight language barrier in explaining technical points in fluent Telugu, the session was managed successfully and all farmers' queries were clarified to their satisfaction.

Good arrangements were done by MFL with the help of Field Assistant. Shamiyana, chairs and public address system were arranged neatly. Biscuits, water bottles, coffee and snacks were provided to all participating farmers.

The programme concluded successfully with full cooperation of the dealer and farmers.
