Awareness Session on the Four Labour Codes by Bank of Baroda, Bengaluru Cluster

An Awareness Session on the Four Labour Codes was conducted on 24 July 2026 at Baroda Academy, Bengaluru, for the HR functionaries of Bank of Baroda, Bengaluru Cluster. The programme was held in physical mode and was attended by 38 HR functionaries of which 18 women HR functionaries representing the five zones of the Bengaluru Cluster—Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ernakulam and Mangaluru—covering 31 regions across South India.

The technical session was delivered by Shri Saroj Kumar Mohanty, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Bengaluru, who provided a comprehensive overview of the Four New Labour Codes. Shri Kumar explained the objectives of the labour law reforms, the salient features of each Code and their implications for employers and employees, with special emphasis on statutory compliance, implementation and the responsibilities of HR professionals.

The programme commenced with a welcome address, reaffirming Bank of Baroda's commitment to strengthening statutory compliance and enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of its HR functionaries through continuous learning and capacity-building initiatives.

The session was highly informative and interactive. Participants actively engaged in discussions and sought clarifications on various practical aspects of labour law compliance, making the programme insightful, enriching and beneficial for all attendees.
