AERB’s Forty-Second Formation Day held on December 20, 2024 celebrated the intensive ‘Manthan’ sessions conducted during the past two years towards achieving higher organizational excellence. AERB has been observing the last two years as ‘SANKRANTI KAAL’ symbolising its transitioning to a ‘future ready’ state. During this period, AERB has been conducting extensive ‘Manthan’ sessions, a process of contemplation of
future readiness through introspection and retrospection with active participation of all staff members of AERB. This “MANTHAN” process assumes significance in view of challenges posed by the national plans to expand the nuclear power programme in a big way by deploying mix of existing and emerging technologies and with new entities foraying into the nuclear sector.
Earlier in the day, AERB inaugurated its new building ‘Niyamak Bhavan-C’. AERB celebrated its formation day function in this new venue on December 20, 2024. The occasion was graced by esteemed members of Atomic Energy Commission. In a deviation to the traditional practice, the lighting of the lamp during the event was performed by young AERB officers signifying the future readiness of AERB, with the blessings of the senior dignitaries present. A short narrative on how the ‘Manthan’ process was conceived and structured along with a brief summary of the actionable items arising out of the ‘Manthan’ was presented during the formation day. This was followed by release of the AERB’s Ruby Jubilee Book commemorating four decades of safety regulations “celebrating the past and ready for future’.
Dr D.K. Shukla Chairman, AERB in his concluding remarks affirmed that the two year long“Manthan” exercise has not only helped in identifying challenges, areas for improvements and ways for improvements but more importantly has transformed AERB staff into a more cohesive knowledge workforce.
