BSF Eastern Command ADG reviews operational preparedness of Meghalaya Frontier

The Additional Director General, BSF (Eastern Command) Kolkata, Smt. Sonali Mishra, IPS today visited the Meghalaya Frontier BSF to review the current security scenario and operational preparedness on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
The ADG visited the Border Outposts (BOPs) - Pyrdwah, Muktapur and Dawki of 4 Bn and interacted with the Field Commanders. She took stock of the security scenario and reviewed the border domination and operational preparedness in order to make the Indo-Bangladesh international border crime-free. She applauded the efforts and dedication of BSF personnel on ground in safeguarding the borders and efforts being made to control trans-border crimes.

The ADG, during her 3-day visit from February 16-17, 2023, was welcomed by IG of BSF Meghalaya, Shri Pradip Kumar, IPS and other senior officers. The IG briefed the ADG about the area of responsibility of Frontier, discussed the challenges along the Indo- Bangladesh border and measures to control trans-border crimes.

The ADG will chair Sainik Sammelan at BOP Dawki on 17th February 2023 to evaluate the real-time problems being faced by the troops deployed on ground in domination of the border areas. The Sammelan will also be attended virtually by border men deployed at other locations under Frontier Meghalaya.
