Department of Posts, India is holding a  2022 International Letter-Writing Competition for students. The competition will be conducted on 20 March 2022 (Sunday) at Panaji Goa for the participants aged from 9 to 15 years. The duration of competition is one hour from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon. The last date for submission of forms through schools is 11.03.2022 which should be addressed to "The Sr. Supdt. of Post offices, Goa Division, 14 Floor, Tapal Bhavan, Panaji". The venue for the competition will be intimated separately.
The letter can be written in English or any language listed in the 8 schedule of the Constitution of India. The Subject for the competition is "Write a letter to someone influential explaining why and how they should take action on the climate crisis. The composition is to be presented in the form of letter not exceeding 800 words on the above subject. Winners of the competition  will get the prizes are as follows (At Circle Level)
First Prize Rs. 25,000/-and a certificate, Second Prize Rs. 10,000/-and a certificate and Third Prize Rs. 5,000/-and a certificate, At National Level First Prize Rs 50.000/-and a certificate, Second Prize Rs. 25,000/- and a certificate Third Prize Rs 10,000/-and a certificate The best entry at the national level shall qualify as the official Indian Entry for the International level Competition
The Universal Postal Union shall select the award winning entries. The winners will receive a special medal (gold for first prize, Silver for second, and bronze for third) and a certificate, as well as other prizes to commemorate their win.
