Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today addressed  the ‘Cooperation and Agricultural Conference”  at Pravara Nagar, Loni in Ahmednagar district. 

The Minister paid floral tributes to the pioneer of the cooperative movement  Padma Shri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil  at the premises of the Loni Sahakari Saakhar Karkhana.

The Minister also e-launched  Dr. Vikhe Patil Memorial  Hospital and gave away  Dr. Vithhalrao VikhePatil  Sahitya Seva Jeevan Gaurav Award.

 

The Minister also honoured Padma Award winners Shri Popatrao Pawar, the Sarpanch of Hiware Bazar Gram Panchayat and Rahibai Popere better known as ‘seed mother’ for her efforts towards conservation of indigenous plant species.  Shri Shah said  The new era of delivering Padma Awards is seeing rightful claimants being honoured.

Shri Amit Shah also visited  the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi and prayed for happiness and prosperity for the country.
