Unveiling of Memorial Pillar at public function, to cherish the memories of Polish families who were given refuge in Kolhapur during the Second World War at Valivade, Kolhapur by Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, Marcin Przydacz in the presence of Ambassador of Poland in India H.E. Adam Burakowski, Honourable Member of Parliament Shri Sambhaji Chhatrapati and Guaurdian Minister of Kolhapur, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil, President, Poles in India, H. E. Mr. Andrzej Chendynski on 14th September, 2019
Two delegations will be present in this event. - Poles in India delegation who had taken refuge in Kolhapur during World War II, and are now going to relive their childhood memories; High level Poland delegation comprises business representatives, Polish ambassador to India and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland
The media will be ferried from Mumbai to Kolhapur to attend this event and the arrangements for lodging will also be done by the organisers.
