Newly Awarded/Sanctioned NHS in the State of Uttar Pradesh by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways

 

                        Ministry of Road Transport & Highways sanctioned the work of widening of National Highway No. 24 from UP gate i.e., Delhi/UP Border (Km. 8.00 of NH-24) to Dasna (Km. 28.280 of NH-24) to 6 lane facility. This will facilitate smooth movement of traffic using NH-24 especially to the residents of upcoming important residential localities of Indirapuram, NOIDA and Ghaziabad etc. who have been persistently demanding widening of NH-24 from UP Gate to Dasna to ease the traffic congestion in this stretch keeping in view high volume of traffic.  The bids for the above work have already been opened and are under evaluation. The work is expected to be started very soon. 

Details of the Project:

Ø  Length of the project                                                     :               20 kms

Ø  Cost of Civil Work                                                          :               Rs.97 crore.

Ø  Cost of utility shifting and tree cutting                  :               Rs.31 crore.

Ø  Total Cost of the project                                              :               Rs.128 crore.

 

Project Features:

Ø    Construction of new 2-lane carriageway

Ø    Improvement of riding quality of existing 4-lane carriageway

Ø    Construction of 5 underpasses

Ø    Widening of 23 existing culverts.

Ø    Construction of bus-bays and other safety features keeping in view the requirement of urban nature of the area. 

Ø    Shifting of electric poles and cutting trees

Ø    Protection work of H.T. electric towers

 

            DETAILS OF RECENTLY AWARDED WORKS OF WIDENING TO 2-LANE WITH PAVED SHOULDER UNDER NHDP PHASE-IVA ON NHs IN THE STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH:

(I)        The work of widening to 2-lane with paved shoulder of NH-24B from Rae Bareli to Allahabad in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 106.60 Kms. The cost of the work is Rs.291.36 crore. The work has recently been awarded. The important places falling in this section are Munshiganj, Kunda and Unchahar.

 

 

 

 

 

(II)       The work of widening to 2-lane with paved shoulder of NH-86 from Kanpur to Kabrai in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 123 Kms. The cost of the work is work is Rs.373.47 crore. The work has recently been awarded. The important places falling in this section are Ghatampur, Hamirpur city and Maudaha.

(III)     The work of widening to 2-lane with paved shoulder of NH-93 from Agra to Aligarh in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 79 Kms. The cost of the work is work is Rs.250.00 crore. The work has recently been awarded. The important places falling in this section are Khandauli, Sadabad, Hathras and Sasni.

            DETAILS OF WORKS OF WIDENING TO 2 LANE WITH PAVED SHOULDER/4-LANE UNDER NHDP PHASE-IVB ON NHs IN THE STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH FOR WHICH BIDS HAVE BEEN INVITED:

(I)        The work of widening to 2-lane with paved shoulder of NH-232A from Unnao to Lalganj in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 67.50 Kms. The cost of the work is Rs.521.15 crore. The bids for the work have been invited with last date of submission as 30.12.2010. The important places falling in this section is Achalganj.

 (II)      The work of widening to 2-lane with paved shoulder of NH-233 from India/Nepal border (Khakarhawa) to Ghaghra Bridge in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 121.80 Kms. The cost of the work is Rs.648.22 crore. The bids for the work have been invited with last date of submission as 30.12.2010. The important places falling in this section are Mohana, Naugarh, Siddarthnagar, Bansi, Rudauli, Mustafabad, Gauri Bazar and Basti.

 (II)      The work of widening to 4-lane of NH-233 from Ghaghra Bridge to Varanasi in the State of Uttar Pradesh is having total length of 176.65 Kms. The cost of the work is Rs.1790.68 crore. The bids for the work have been invited with last date of submission as 30.12.2010. The important places falling in this section are Shukla Bazar, Tejpur, Sikandarpur, Atraulia Bazar, Kaudia,  Bansgaon, Mohan Nagar, Kaptanganj, Mohammadpur, Bindra Bazar, Tanda and Azamgarh.
