MoS, Ministry of WCD Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai visits Anganwadi Centers in Durbuk, Leh
Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, Minister of State for Ministry of Women and Child Development, today visited Anganwadi Centers (AWCs ) of Maan and Spangmik during his tour to Durbuk block, Leh. The Minister also attended the Poshan Mela organized by these Anganwadi Centers on the occasion of Poshan Maah.
During his visit, the Minister interacted with the Anganwadi Workers, Helpers and the Anganwadi children. During interaction, the Minister appreciated various activities conducted by the children of the Anganwadi Centers on the occasion.
Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), ICDS Leh briefed the Minister about various activities being conducted at different Anganwadi centers during Poshan Maah and about supplementary nutrition served at the AWCs.
CDPO Leh also informed about the Management of Acute Malnutrition (SAM and MAM) and anemia status among the Anganwadi children.
